Scottsdale Edge Works is the vision of Dennis Schleder. The foundation of the business was established over 25 years of custom design/build in high-end residential and commercial spaces in the Pacific Northwest. With the relocation to the Valley and a slight restructuring of the business model, our focus is solely live-edge furniture and raw slabs.
Quality and customer service are at the heart of everything we do. From selecting exceptional wood to the final finish, every project and slab is approached with meticulous attention to detail, respect for the material, and a commitment to creating pieces that will be appreciated for generations.

Where can I see live-edge furniture in person near Scottsdale?
At our Phoenix showroom in the Deer Valley area (2205 W Lone Cactus Dr, STE 19), open by appointment. You'll see finished live-edge dining and conference tables, 50-plus raw slabs, and hand-turned bowls. The piece on the floor is the piece you take home. Book a visit on our site.
Do you sell raw live-edge slabs?
Yes. We keep 50-plus live-edge slabs on hand: mesquite, walnut, and figured local Arizona hardwoods, kiln-dried, flattened, and honestly graded, with photos that match what you'll carry out. They're ideal for makers and DIY builders.
What wood species do you work with?
Alligator juniper, mesquite, Indian rosewood, acacia, dark walnut, microtheca and ponderosa pine, plus rare selections as they come in. Every slab is graded honestly so you know exactly what you're getting.
Do you make custom or built-to-order furniture?
Our focus is finished, ready-to-take-home pieces and curated slabs rather than custom commissions. The piece you see on the floor is the piece you take home, with no commission queue. Interior designers working on larger projects can start a trade inquiry.
How much does a live-edge dining table cost?
Pricing depends on the species, size, and finish, so each piece is priced individually. Book a showroom visit and we'll walk you through what's currently on the floor and its pricing.
How do I care for a live-edge table?
Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, blot spills promptly, keep it out of direct sun and away from heat sources, and refresh the finish with a hardwood oil periodically. Cared for this way, a live-edge piece lasts for generations.
Do you offer trade pricing for interior designers?
Yes. Architects, designers and contractors get trade pricing and first access to new pieces before they reach the showroom floor. Start a trade inquiry to set it up.
